Description

Lilla Edet Municipality has begun the work of creating a resource school for a small number of students with specific and extraordinary needs for special support. The Resource School will be located in the municipality's central area, Lilla Edet, in close proximity to Fuxernaskolan.

The School Social Team in Lilla Edet is a collaborative effort where the school and social services meet and work together for students who, for various reasons, have problematic school absenteeism.

Responsibilities

As a school social worker, you are a key person in the work for students' well-being and development. You provide psychosocial support, work preventively and promote well-being, and collaborate closely with school management, student health, educators, social services, and guardians. You will work in the Resource School and in the School Social Team. The Resource School is a small unit with small student groups and high staff density. The assignment is entirely new, giving you the chance to help shape the work from the ground up. The School Social Team has been in existence for a year and is under development. Here, you will be involved in further developing the team and creating working methods that make a difference for students' attendance and goal fulfillment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has equivalent education and has extensive experience working with children and youth in schools. You are positive, clear, and attentive with a strong student perspective. We expect you to be proactive, self-assured, and have the courage and commitment to make a difference. As a person, you are trustworthy and relationship-building and have the energy and strength in your interactions with students and guardians. You have the courage to think outside the box, the strength to face challenges, and the commitment to create change.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
